Kayla MacInnis is an âpihtawikosisân iskwew who, in her work, mixes the visual and written worlds. Born in misâskwatômina (Saskatoon), she is a displaced Polish/Ukrainian & Scottish settler on her mother’s side and Métis from the Red River settlement on her father’s. Kayla hopes to inspire people to find different ways to connect with themselves and one another. She is currently in the final year of her Bachelor’s in Journalism and Creative Writing at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
